Kimberly Bennett (Bullard)

I spoke with Jay Frank one of the the owners of Reunions by Class Act for an hour last night.

Very interesting conversation.

Anyway - Just thougth I'd pass on that there will be a memorabilia table for us to use at the event. He suggested that if anyone had any pics or such they would like to share to please bring or have copies made.

Oh and as a class we have a special room rate at the Hilton so please make sure you let them know when you are booking your room. I think he said if you have any problems to speak with ..... I may get her name wrong....Malay? That should be close enough.

Thanks!

Kim - did you talk to him about the attire we should wear Sat night?

Y'all have fun at the picnic. I don't have children, and I ain't much for conversation without booze, so I'll see y'all at the hotel. That is - unless someone is organizing a 'picnic' at a bar. BTW-somebody find Walter Zendejas.

Yes I did Staci. Not as casual as some may think - more of a 'dress casual' or 'business casual' I think David could get away with his fancy jeans but Frank might want to leaves his overalls at home.

Kim, if Frank isn't wearing his overalls, make sure he wears something.... ;)

Check out the 20 Year Reunion link to RSVP for the picnic on Saturday, Aug. 1st. We are in need of people and items to make it a go! Let us know if you can help in any way. Can't wait to see everyone! :)

Regarding the picnic, I am not sure how much the "rental fee" is but maybe we should have considered an actual park. Resoft Park on Hwy 35 has several pavillions available with electricity so that you don't have get generators, gas and what not. The fee is only $75 (for someone in the county to rent) They have restrooms along with a very large playground, a pond that you can fish in, vollyball and horseshoe area. It would have been a lot easier to have looked into this location and a lot less of a hassel than trying to line up all the extra "entertainment" for the kids. The idea is for us to be able to actually visit instead of having to register, collect money, set up and tear down. I would think those "in charge" would want to make it as easy as possible so that they could have a good time too.

Something else to consider... if you can't drink on school property you probably can't smoke either!

just my opinion...

The high school was chosen due to the fact that the class said that is what they wanted when the survey was taken about 9 months ago. It will give everyone an opportunity to see the changes and hang out at our old stomping grounds.

There should not be much in set up, and as far as checking in goes, it will involve writing your name on a name tag. If many pitch in, it will be very little work. It can be as much or as little as we want it to be. Anyone out there that would like to pitch in is more than welcome.

Regarding smoking on school grounds... did you ever visit the subcafeteria's restroom?

07/03/09 09:44 PM #166

Gary Smith

Those cafeterias looked like a chimney in the dead of winter!! LOL!! I think every time I walked through the sub I lost five years off my life from second hand smoke! Please puff away people, whos gonna call the cops?!!
