Jamie Harris Harrington

I graduated with my BSN from West Texas A&M Nursing in 1993. After working 2 years at Northwest I relocated to McKinney, Texas. I worked for Baylor University Medical Center for several years and eventually Medical city Dallas Hospital starting in 2002. I went back to school and received my Masters in Healthcare Administration and moved in to executive nursing with HCA, a large hospital corporation based out of Nashville, Tennessee which afforded me many years of travel and experiencing life outside of Texas and the metroplex. I met my partner and love of my life, Linda, in 2002 and we will celebrate 15 years together this summer. We now have 9 beautiful grandchildren (6 girls and 3 boys)!

After many years in executive nursing I have recently returned to the NICU as a bedside nurse and absolutely love my job! I work in a small unit in Mansfield, Texas, just outside of Fort Worth. Linda works in healthcare as a Senior Director of Patient Experience of a large Dallas-based system. We have 2 dogs (Alex & Ella) and love to spend time with family. We are huge sports fans and love to be outside on the water, walking and exercising (we live on Joe Pool Lake).

My parents still live in Lake Tanglewood and are currently raising a 2 1/2 year old family member. They are retiring this year after almost 50 years in business and I hope to convince them to move here close to us so we can help chase her around as she is a very busy girl! Ha.

Looking forward to the 30-year reunion; I missed the 20 unfortunately. Can’t wait to catch up with everyone!

I missed so much of Jr. high & high school due to illness:( It was such a bummer. Turns out I was severely lactose intolerant. Isn’t that crazy?! Now that would be so easy to figure out but back then “I was lactose intolerant when lactose intolerance wasn’t cool” ha.

I remember we (tennis team) we’re running laps in the commons one day because it was snowing outside and someone came out of a classroom. One of the runners ran smack into the door! Can’t remember who it was but it was hysterical! (I’m sure they didn’t think it was but we did!) Was that you Christy Overton?!? Good times with such good people. Miss those days.
