Melinda Overbay Thompson

My husband, Jay and I have been together since 1990. We were blessed with our beautiful daughter in 1991. In 1994 we adopted our older daughter at age 9. Jay had a son from his previous marriage, he graduated from Caprock in 2006. Then in 2003 we had the shock of finding out that our "lilman" was going to bless our world. Darin arrived in November. Jay works on a work over rig and also as relief operator. I taught Head Start for 5 years, then decided that I wanted to raise MY children for a while so, I was a stay at home mom for a couple of years. We have been in Oklahoma since March of 1991, small town life took some getting used to. Now I just don't think I could ever move to a larger town. I am active in our community;Lioness Club, , Cubmaster for Pack 134, and pretty much the second mom of most of my daughters friends. In July of 2007, my daughter Kim became mommy to AJ. He is his grammy's pride and joy. Still can't believe that I am a grandma before 40 --- I didn't even make it to 37 (lol). Along came Ayden, another pride and joy. Then my baby girl went and had my Chaysen man then blessed us with Princess Baylen. This all makes for one happy Nanny!

The most memorable times I remember of school were our band trips. After the Latin Club trip to Houston, I decided that flying was not for me thus, I have not flown since. If we could have bottled those trips up, we would be rich rich rich. I don't think anyone could go back and write down all of the memories.
