Working in the oil business since college. Retired from BHP Billiton after 34 years and took a new job four days later with a start-up company, Venari Resources. Raised two daughters whom both attended college at the University of Texas, both got Masters degrees at UT, both got married in the same year just 6 months apart. I've been recuperating financially ever since. Bought a second place in Blanco, Tx. (Hill Country). Have been getting into the live Texas Music scene; primarily following my son-in law's band, The Band of Heathens. Have four adorable grandchildren and I am looking forward to building a final retirement home in the Hill Country.

Wow, too many to remember! How about first date, first kiss, first dance, first of a lot of things. Funniest memory: Calhoun borrowing my Jeep during football practice and getting stuck in the mud at Lake Dunlap while joy riding with some girl. I thought my Jeep had been stolen. Probably funnier now than then. Of course there were flour bomb fights in jeeps on the Canadian River bed, renting a u-haul, collecting discarded Christmas trees from the alleys and decorating a certain girl's yard to look like a forrest, and leaving school at lunch for that Wednesday special 3 hamburgers for a dollar. Cruising Stanleys, hanging out in the Commons before classes and taking powder puff football way too seriously.

Enrolled at University of Tulsa in the Petroleum Engineering program. Let a counselor sign me up for 17 hours my first sememster, joined a faternity, transfered to Texas Tech the next semester.
Graduated 3 1/2 years later, got married the next weekend, found a job the next week in the oil business returning from my honeymoon.

Elvis remains my favorite. He not only helped revolutionize music but is an icon and legend who will always remain rooted as the King of Rock and Roll. I also really admire the talented voice of Raul Malo and of course like the Band Of Heathens, who portray a bluesy, swampy, southern rock style from the Americana music scene.
