Well, I swore I'd never move back to Amarillo but after living in Austin for 35+ years and working for the legislative branch of government, I've come full circle. It's amazing how are priorities change as we mature or at least think we've matured. It's really too bad it takes getting old (older) to realize what's most important in life ... family! I'm glad I'm back.
I, like others, can't remember too much about high school or either I've just blocked it out. Always remembered Doc Sample and his Teaberry gum. Load your book report up with sticks of it and you ace it everytime. Anyone remember the government teacher? We had to do an oral book report and I told him I'd flunk the class before getting up in front of the class. He let me off the hook and to this day I think it was the worse thing he could have done to me.
