Terrie Macklin Gardner

After graduation I left Amarillo and moved to Michigan where I married my High School sweetheart from the class of 1974. We spent 4 years in Michigan in the Air Force before moving back to Amarillo. I attended college in Michigan completing it in Texas where I got my teaching degree. I taught K - 1 for several years.

Unfortunately I went through a divorce but later married again. After 22 years he passed away. I am currently married and will celebrate my 9th anniversary this year. I am the mother of 4 with 10 grand children and they all live nearby. I could not be more blessed.

Choir was what I loved the most. I was in the girls choir as a sophomore and was accepted into Bel Canto in my junior and senior year. I loved to sing, loved the choir trips, the concerts, and the competitions. I tried out and made it to all region and all state, those were good times. I was a Sandette and full of SSS!!!! Other memories, sophomore year the racial tension and violence. It was a tough year for many. Junior year the loss of Katina (we were in school together starting in the 6th grade at Belmar). Senior year, excitement!

Many friends have come and gone, but none have been forgotten.
