Vicki Martinez Ivy

Worked for a short time at the phone company as an 1411 operator.
Started in 1982 at the Postal service as a Letter carrier in Amarillo.
Retired in 2014 after 32 years of service.
Met my current husband at the post office. He is also retired, and we ranch/raise cattle west of Adrian Texas. We love to go to the horse races Would someday love to be at the Kentucky Derby and watch it in person, that is on my "bucket list". We raise cattle, AQHA horses, a couple of miniature registered horses , 1 pomeranian named Daisey, 1 blue heeler named Bandit, and 2 labs named Bud and Bear.

Attended Amarillo College right out of high school for 2 years. Joined Kappa Delta Chi sorority. Joined American Business Women's Asssociation, and helped with my sisters Girl Scout Troop. Also Joined National Association of Letter Carriers Union.
My father died when I was 3 years old and my mother remarried Jim Smith from here in Amarillo. He had 2 boys, so we sort of were a brady bunch family. My siblings all went to Sam Houston and then Tascosa.
Enjoying retirement, traveling a little bit, ranching, and I enjoy helping my daughter with her children. Grandkids are a joy!
