tim was my.......cousin?........his grandfather was my grandmother's brother(remember harry schafer who cut meat down in that grocery store near A&W?)I just remember him as a sweet and kind person and was shocked when i heard he was gone.
I remember seeing Tim run in track when we were in Junior High. He had a very unique style with his head back. In alphabetical order he always sat behind me and was very competent at harassment.
Through all the years, Tim never had a mean bone in his body and always had a smile even through his troubled times.
Tim was a great guy and he had lots of speed. He was always a tough kill in dodge ball as he was agile and could always sneak around and out run most shots.
Tim was a fun guy to be around. He really enjoyed getting into cowboy ways. He always had a smile and was always up for some fun.
I worked at L&H market for Harry Shaefer, Tim's grandfather and also worked with Tim's mother. We enjoyed some good times togeher up Sunbeam road. We hunted birds with air rifles and tried to run down rabbits on foot. Tim could make it a contest for a few feet but I was left in the dust so to speak.
Tim was a great guy to be around and I miss his smile and laugh.
My sister, Suzanne, told me that you signed her year book and talked about how nice she was, nicer than her stuck up sister! I hope you were just joking and that you really didn't think that I was stuck up. I always thought that you were pretty nice yourself. I only have fond, heartwarming memories of you from high school days.
Tim used to cry in first grade because his mother would always come to the school early to pick him up and he thought she would leave without him. Everyday the routine would start and everyday Ms Geer would tell him she wasn't leaving. I always thought it was strange to cry for your mother in first grade but now it happens to me all the time. Thanks Tim for the many years of making me laugh and smile at your behavior. God bless...Shirley
