Comments:

I attended Idaho State University. I married Jamie Mayer in 1969 and resided in American Falls throughout his farming career. I leased a restaurant in the Bowling Lanes for 6 years after my children were in school. In 1989 I went to work for The House of Travel and in 1995 I opened my own Rainbow Travel Agency. It was very successful and I sold it to AAA in May of 2001 just before 911. We know that the lord had a hand in this sale. I worked as supervisor for AAA for 1 1/2 years before retiring myself due to some health issues.

My husband had always felt a calling into the ministry and in 2005, he was invited to work for University Bible Church while getting his masters degree in Biblical Theology. We moved to Pocatello July 2005 and we sold the farm to Henry Hornbacher so he could concentrate on his classes and ministry. He will graduate May 2008. Our church has asked us to stay. We both enjoy our ministry here in Pocatello and are not sure where the lord will lead us in the future.

We have done some extensive travel, have raised 3 children and have 7 grandchildren. We love our family and church family.

I have still some travel agency in my blood so I put Israel trips together for our church and others.

School Story:

I moved to American Falls in 1965 after my parents build Melody Lanes. I was a sophmore and love AF High. I met alot of great friends.

One day on the first week in AF, I was late and there was an assembly. Some may remember that in those days the assembly was split with girls on one side and boys on the other side. Well I came in and sat right in the middle of all the boys and didn't know the difference, except the girls started eyeing me and beckoning me to come to the girls side. I was enjoying myself right where I was so I stayed I did not find out until later what I had done.

I remember all of the dances and having so much fun with our class, especially our senior year.

I remember Bobby Ruffs VW bug, driving Adrian Wegners blue car, going to Poky with Gerry to the house my family moved from and seeing my Poky friends, walking with Ron Liese at graduation, and a certain sadness that we were out of High School.

I love my class-we have the best class ever!!!!
