ESSIE M JONES SHIELDS

Since 1967, first I got married to William Shields and had our son, David. Then I started my first full time career, with the Provident Bank, now known as PNC Bank (lifetime sentence) I divorced my husband and he later passed away (not because of the divorced).
In 1997 I tried to relocate back to my roots and experience a terrible car accident, then it was time to return back to my second home, Philly. I am still working (not like some of my classmates) with the same company.
After recently purchasing a new auto, I guess I will still be working for another three (3) years. Classmates please pray for me, after over forty years out of school, I decided to go back to college to obtain my paralegal degree. I completed my studies at CTU (Colorado University OnLine). I received my degree in Studies of Law/Paralegal on June 12, 2012. Hooray and thanks be to God for his Grace and Mercy and Kindness toward me to help me to complete this goal on my bucket list!
In July 2013 I was honored and blessed to attend my 28th Family Reunion in Macon GA
In April 2014 I look forward to celebrating over 40 Years with PNC Financial
Corp, located in Philadelphia, PA.
On July 3, 2015, I retired from PNC Financial Corp with over 41 years of services.
June 2015, my grandson, William James Frederick completed and received his High School Diploma and enter college at North Hampton Junior Community College, Bethlehem, PA. He is presently attending Harcum College, Bryn Mawr, PA.
June 2016, my grandaughter, Amanda Louise Frederick completed and received her High School Dipolma and enter college at Indiana University of PA (IUP), Indian, PA Amanda transferred to Harcum College in 2017 and graduated May 2019. She is presenting attending Temple University, Early Childhood Ed.
January 2017, I was appointed Chair of the Trustee's Ministry for my church, The Bible Way Baptist Church located in Philadelphia, PA . In December, 2018, resigned as Chair of the Trustees Ministry.

My favorite school story is "hooking" school with Will and Ross and Fannie, can't remember who else joined. But we ate donuts all day. Another, memory is my Senior Prom dates; what a fun time this event turned out to be.
