April 8, 1994 of cancer. He was the Jefferson Pilot Professor of Physics at Guilford College in Greensboro, NC. He is survived by two sisters Esther Shkolnik ('67), Beth Swartz ('69) and two brothers David ('72), Joseph ('75).

Melinda (Lindy) Swenson (1965)
One of the all-time funniest people I ever met. Had the great honor to sit behind him in most of our classes. He always said he couldn't date me because I wasn't Jewish enough. He met and married Rose, the love of his life, and died way too young. He did get to be an astrophysicist, a teacher, and a novelist, by the way, just as he wanted! What a great guy!
