Drowned July 8, 1969 while on military mission in South Vietnam. He had attended Paul Smith's Junior College and was transferring to UB when drafted in 1968. He is survived by sisters Marilou ('62), Karen ('67) and brothers Gary ('73), Jeff ('79).

Steve Raikin (Greenfield) (1967)
SP4 Robert Gapinski (Amherst Class of '66) gave his last full measure of devotion to his country on July 8, 1969. He died in Vietnam's Tay Ninh Province. May he rest in peace.
