March 18, 1997 in his home after a short illness.  He was Chief Engineer with the Town of Amherst for 23 years and a member of the American Public Works Association.  He was head starter for races at Lancaster Speedway from 1975 to 1979 and was a member of the Buffalo Old Boys rugby team from 1973-76.  He is survived by brother Wayne ('69) and sister Judith ('79)
