A counselor at Amherst High School for 18 years, Miss Richter died September 11, 1979 after a long illness.  A Past treasurer of the Amherst Central High School PTA, she was given the Jenkins Memorial Award by the State Parent Teachers Association for outstanding service to education in the community.
