October 4, 1999 in her home after a long illness.  She began teaching business courses at Amherst High School in 1942 and became chairwomen of the business department.  She was a pioneer in introducing computers at the shcool and retired in 1979.  She was honored by the Business Teachers of Western New York as Teacher of the Year in 1985.
