I graduated from the University of Kansas in 1995 with a double major in Environmental Studies and Spanish. Traveled to Europe and lived in Spain then in Puerto Rico. Lived on a sailboat for about 5 years in the Caribbean and along the east coast of Australia. Moved off the boat to a little house in the 'bush' inland of the Whitsunday Islands off the Barrier Reef, building an extension to the home with stone and felled trees until 2008. Got a Yoga Teacher certification and began teaching. Traveled to Bali for a Yoga Retreat, which I loved! I home- schooled my 2 girls.
In 2010 I moved with my 2 daughters back to the U.S. to Lawrence, Kansas, bought a big old house, and had my sweet boy, Gabriel.
When I'm not working on a local organic farm, I teach yoga and aim to live sustainably. We spent a year on the road in our camper traveling around the US, seeing as many National Parks and organic homesteads as we could and meeting really wonderful people along the way.
I am interested in the shifts in consciousness and choices we are making at this time to create a more peaceful world for us and our children, including our food choices, what we support, and how we treat each other.
I now live with my son in Corrales, NM, a small village on the outskirts of Albuquerque, that has lots of artists, horses and lovely people. Both of my parents live near me. Lyla will go to KU in Lawrence, and Emmalyn is back in Australia.
