Cynthia Ann (Symons) Ward, 33, 10 Carmel Road, Andover, a lifelong resident, died Sunday, January 14, 1979, at the Pentucket Nursing Home, Haverhill, MA following a long illness.
Born in Lawrence, August 18, 1945, Mrs. Ward was educated in the Andover Schools. She was a graduate of Andover High School, Class of 1963. She was a member of the Unitarian Universalist Church.
Mrs. Ward is survived by her husband, George E. Ward, Chief Electricians Mate, U.S. Navy stationed in Mayport, FL and her step-mother, Mrs. Fred Symons of Andover.
Cyndi always had a bounce in her step and her hair follwed suit. I remember Cyndi's smile as being constant--and saying, "Hi," to her in the hallways or meeting her after school was always a fun occasion. Losing her at such a young age was very hard for me--people with a "bouncy step" and a constant smile are supposed to stay with us to make our days happier. I truly miss her!
