Hello everyone! Gianna here. Let's hear from all you "lurkers" out there... you know, all of you who read the posts on the forum, but haven't yet posted anything. What are you up to? Are you attending the reunion? What's happenin'?!?

I'll get things started. I'm living in CA and I've got 2 teenage boys. I am really looking forward to the reunion, and I'll be there along with my boyfriend and my younger son, Liam (15). My older son Nate (17) will be in summer school so he won't make it.

Between this site and Facebook I've gotten in touch with so many Panthers lately. It's amazing to me how as people grow older the small things that seem so huge back in high school seem to just fade away. The differences that may have kept us from becoming close in high school are the things that make people more interesting as adults. I find myself talking to so many more people now than I did back when I was stuck in my own little high school "bubble" world. It makes me even more excited to go to the reunion and catch up with old friends and reaquaint myself with people I may not have been mature enough to appreciate back in high school.

I look forward hearing from everyone, and to seeing everyone at the reunion NEXT MONTH!!!

Brandi what a very well written letter. True on many points if not all of them. I've been encouraging old classmates to attend and not all were necessarily the ones that I hung out with in high school but they are those that I grew up with since elementary or middle school. I want them to be as excited to have fun as I am. That's basically it to have fun with those that one way or another were a part of our childhood.

Thanks for your message Brandi. I think your words speak to what a lot of us are thinking. I have been blessed and very fortunate that my closest friends are those who knew me in high school, junior high, and extended their friendship to the shy, awkward new girl at Anthony Middle School (who was skinny and taller than most of the boys. Boy, imagine being self conscious about being too skinny? If I only knew then what I know now!). These are the people who have supported me through too many bad break ups to count, the birth of two babies, my move to a city I had never been to (alone with two kids), and when I freaked out over a (luckily non-life threatening) cancer diagnosis. These are the friends who have raised me up during hard times and cheered me on in my life's successes.

I agree with what Gianna said in her posting. I am looking forward to celebrating old friendships and rekindling friendships with people I lost touch with many years ago. I will be at the reunion, whether it's the reunion Brandi has worked hard to plan or an informal reunion with anyone who would like to join me.

Brandi, I also would like to thank you for your heartfelt message. I too am lucky to still have the friends that were close to me in high school still a part of my life. Brandi has been a constant part of my life since we were in second grade! Brandi, Jennifer, Rosie, Susie, Gary and Vince, are not only my closest friends, but my family. I have so many memories of all the wonderful friends I had in high school. For me high school was a wonderful, happy time. I know that it wasn't that way for everyone. Those of us who went to Gadsden together were a family. None of us came from wealthy families. We all helped each other. We came from a time before cell phones, texting, e-mail, Facebook - and we made it! I just want everyone to know that our successes and failures in life are what make us who we are. I'm not going to the reunion to judge anyone. We've all had tough times. I just recently graduated from college at the age of 37 and I'm proud of that. Basically what I'm trying to say is that everyone, no matter who they hung out with, what they have or have not accomplished in their life, all belong at the reunion. We all shared good times and bad times, the loss of young friends who will never be with us again. Let's all share this good time and be thankful that we are able to celebrate 20 years of life.

Brandi Jauregui And Toni, yes there has been a slight increase in activity. We are now up to 47 paid attendees. I also know of others who I know are coming but have not paid yet.

Brandi, very well said! I just want to encourage everyone out there, especially those who live close to Anthony, to try your best to attend this reunion. I live in Wyoming and unfortunately because of my job I am not going to be able to go to the reunion. I know that I am going to regret this for the rest of my life, so if at all possible, try to go! I was told by a teacher at the school I'm at that at your 10 year reunion everyone is still kind of with their clique and kind of looking at everyone else like "what have they done or how do they look?". At your 20 year reunion everyone is just so glad to see everyone else and wants to talk to people that maybe you weren't necessarily friends with in high school. At your 30 year reunion you are just glad to be alive.

So, even though I have to miss this year, GO, have fun and maybe make some "new" friends that you didn't hang out with in high school!

Hi, Brandi I loved your letter, Guys all of us have been through rough times and alot of good times. This reunion is going to be one of the best times we have ever had, just remember our tenth reunion we had a blast! Seeing everybody there was like being back in high school, little more mature but we were there, so our 20th reunion everybody will be more mature and of course little older, hey I said little older ok!!!!
Rheuhama, I really hope to see you soon. I always see your mom and sometimes your dad, I see them at Denny's or at Albertson's. It is nice to hear from you and I glad your doing good.
Jennifer trust me I knew how you felt, I my self use to be real skinny and I always had that problem. Everybody would pick on me. Hey all that is gone know, know I have to work on my weight, I went up 216lb. I have been working on my weight problem, I have lost 34lb. I have to watch my weight because I have a bad back. It was nice hearing from you I hope to see you in the reunion. Smile smile
Hi Tony , what can I say we have always been close to each other and always kept track of each other no matter were we are at, So please stop by at work everybody is driving me crazy cause they have not seen you shopping and they are worried you have gone to another store!!!!lol
Hi Gianna hope to see you soon and hope we can see each other to share everything that is going on with our lives. I also have two kids, one is my little princess Reyna Jeanette(17)and my handsome prince Raymundo(12) both my kids are taller than me. Reyna is a senior next year and Raymundo is going to seventh grade.

Okay...I've got 5 minutes! Yeah! Everyone MUST come to this reunion. Get the word out. It's going to be the event of the year. Believe me. We have been working our tails off making sure that each and every one of our classmates will feel included and part of everything.

I really would enjoy being together again after 10 years. I know you will have a blast! I was at an event at Billy Crews this past weekend and it was great! They are soooo accomodating. Saturday is going to be even better and Sunday will be very emotional and sentimental for most of us. I know I haven't really been to the school in many years.

Let's all get on board and get our $75 paid and have a great weekend. ORALE RAZA...and non-raza alike!

Rosa Sotelo (Terrazas) Guys I live at the school(as a parent). The school has change our old cafeteria, its a library. Those how remember the famous hole What was it called??? It is no longer there!!! There are lots of buildings!!! Good news our old building are still there. I know every body will enjoy exploring the school
