Comments:
After graduating, I attended UW-Madison, and earned a degree in secondary education (chemistry and biology). I also met my best friend, and husband. We got married just out of college, and will be celebrating our 15th anniversary this August.
We started out in a suburb of Cleveland, OH (Avon Lake) where I started my teaching career. I taught honors and regular Chemistry and had kids in class that were definitely smarter than me. We never expected to be back in Appleton, but my husband received an offer from Curwood, Inc. (in Oshkosh) and we decided to move back to Appleton. I then started teaching freshmen science at APPLETON WEST, the same year that North opened. I taught there for 5 years and it was great fun to still be a Terror. It wasn't easy to learn to call Mr. Happel "Jim" or Mr. Fanning "Tom" (directly to their faces anyway).
In 2001, I decided to stay home full time with our son. That same year, my Dad died in a skiing accident at Keystone, CO. It's amazing how fast one instant can change your life.
Currently, I'm still staying home with our 2 kids. We travel quite a bit with my Mom and my sister and her family. We love going to Madison to visit my sister and attend as many Badger activities/events as possible.
