Diane Hawkes Stade Family Memories
This post is from her husband, Jim Stade, and her sister, Kris Fox.
We lost a wonderful wife and partner and sister this week, Diane Hawkes Stade. She passed away quietly at home in her sleep after struggling 13 years from Parkinson's.
Diane and Jim were together for 40+ years. They had a wonderful, loving and full life.
She will be greatly missed by her loving husband, Jim; her brother, Reed Hawkes, and his wife, Mary; her sister, Kris Fox, and her husband, Dave; her nephew, Alan Fox, and his partner, Tarah; her nephew, Grant Hawkes, and his wife, Jay, and their children, Gray and Connor; her niece, Sara Pait, and her husband, Étienne, and her niece, Meghan Mezeske, and her husband, Evan; her sister-in-law, Nancy Branch, and husband, John; plus many cousins and friends who loved her.
Diane was always a fun-loving and energetic person. She loved all music, especially the Beatles (George Harrison) and Jimmy Buffett, John Prine and the Blues.
She was also a woman of many talents: self-taught pianist, excellent cook and baker, photographer and gardener. She was skilled at sewing, crochet, knitting, cross-stitch and macrame.
We have created a memory album of pictures we have taken over the years with Diane. These are not just pictures but memories of all the people and places Diane's life has touched.
Jim would also like to thank Star Hospice for all their help and support. These people are truly heroes in every sense of the word. Jim doesn't know how he would have gotten through this without them and also without all the support from Beverly, Judy, Michelle, Megan, Kim, and Pat.
We will all miss Diane. She is at peace now and we know her spirit and memories will always be with us.
🙏🙏💔💔
There will be a Celebration of Life and Love for Diane scheduled for a later date.
The Class of '69 sends prayers and condolences to Diane's entire family and know she will be missed.
