Kristi Payne, Doug's daughter, has informed us of Doug's passing on March 11th of this year. Doug had been ill for the last five years and died of congestive heart failure. He passed in New Braufels, Texas. He was survived by his bride of 53 years, Michelle and their daughter Kristi. Kristi shared the following and gave permission to use this: "We haven't had a celebration of life yet, but we're talking about doing something this fall. Nothing big, just family".

We'll remember Doug, as a tall, athletic guy, specifically trying to master the impossible sport of golf, a lifelong passion. The Class of '69 sends prayers and condolences to Michelle, Kristi, and the entire Dahle family.

Yesterday would have been Doug's 74th birthday, and it was that occasion that caused Chip Uppling to inquire about his passing and when I realized I never posted the information; my apologies.
