It is with profound sadness that Classmate Ellyn (Placek) Zimmerman has informed us of the passing of her husband Allan J. Zimmerman, also a member of the FVHS Class of 1969.

Ellyn tells us that Allan passed away yesterday, Saturday June 6, 2026 from heart failure with complications stemming from obesity and smoking. Ellyn takes comfort in the fact that Allan is no longer in excrutiating pain.

Allan has chosen to donate his body to medical science in the hope that will someday lead to a cure and help others in fighting this disease. Well done, Allan.

Because of this donation, no services are planned at the current time.
