Comments:

After graduating from St. James I attended Prospect High School with 7 other SJS Alumni. After Prospect, went to Harper for 2 years, then on to University of WI, graduated in 1992...got married in 1994 to Carl Leno (graduated from Rolling Meadows) and was married for 14 years. I have stayed in Arlington Heights...as a matter of fact only 6 houses away from SJS. I have worked for the Itasca Park District for 15 years and am currently on the Arlington Heights Park District Board of Commissioners. My 5 kids are the love of my life and ironically...4 of them attend school at SJS now. When the oldest started, Mr. McCafferty was still the Principal too!!!! And now, the ones still left are Mrs. Driscoll, Sister Carmel (as a helper) and yes my mother, Mrs. Healy!!!!!! Very weird when you are talking to your own past teachers about your current kids; especially when your kindergartener makes a fake bus pass, gets past the sub teacher into the bus line, past the bus driver, takes the bus and is missing for 45 minutes as Mrs. Healy (grandma) is looking for her and mom too, cuz we live 6 houses away and walk!!!!!! That was great sitting across from McCafferty and explaining that one!!! Especially when Mom assisted her in making it that morning!!!!...and on a sad note, those who knew my dad, he died unexpectantly in Sept 2005, at 61, of Pancreatic Cancer.

School Story:

Where does one start...and most stories I am remembering as my own kids are at SJS...TIPOFF; locking Kristy in a locker; being called to Mr. McCafferty's office because of Todd in 5th grade; selling office supplies out of the closet; May Crowning; China Town Trip (which my oldest got in trouble last year so I would not let her go..I am so mean..); not being able to touch the snow piles or get a detention; the lunch lady (who finally retired a few years back and was still just as mean as I remembered); sour milk; ice cream day; Ms. Johnson; Decorating the Sader Tables (which they don't do anymore); standing in-line in the church for reconciliation and everyone asking each other what they were going to confess; dressing up for Halloween (and yes, I still have the photos of us dressed up in Jr. High)....

What would we be surprised to know about you?

The renovation project of my house was featured on and episode of HGTV in 2001.
