Lisa Lively Reed

Working mostly. Lived in Austin for 32 years before moving back to Arlington in Dec 2018. Worked for BMC Software as a Technical Writer then QA Rep for 9 years, then Office Manager for Highland Park Baptist School while my son was there. Worked for 7 years for the Adoption Coalition of Texas where we worked to find Adoptive/Forever Families for hard-to-place foster children and where I developed a heart for kids in foster care.

Also volunteered 29 years (moved before 30th year) at Therapy Pet Pals of Texas where we take our own pets to visit nursing homes and other institutionalized individuals. Same pet, same person, same place. Also have done various other volunteer work at my son’s schools in Austin

I attended Texas A&M University on the 5-year plan. Officially Class of 1987.
Visited Suzanne Rising often at UT Austin. I moved to Austin in 1986 and she and I lived together for a year. So fun!! I met my husband there (he grew up in Round Rock and was also a UT grad) and never left Austin until we decided to move to Arlington to be near my parents and 2 sisters. Now we all live close by. I live on Tucker off of Fielder, work from home, and attend the same church I grew up in. Feels good to be close to family & friends again.
