The Guy Who dies with the most toys LOSES. He did not have time to unwrap them, much less enjoy them. What you own, owns you. This imaginary fool still had to worry about them, store them, insure them, check on and worry that he was still number one. He was obsessed, a painful condition. Most people at the top are freaks of nature, monolithic and no fun since they are obsessed with an endless stream of success. In reality, they are losers.

One phantom bell ringer's story: The first involved the mechanical bell on a rope in the attic of the admin building. The stage manager for the drama club was the real mastermind, but I had a hand. We conceived and he implemented a rope between that bell and the rope that opened the ventilator door in the ceiling of detention/study hall. Then, when you pulled the rope in the study hall real hard, it rang the admin bell in the attic. The Masters and prefects would run into the admin office only to find no one! The current head master, (Tyler?), searched the attic and did not find the rope system!!

The second was the electric bell system. This one was mine alone in conception and implementation but I had an accomplice who rang it while I was in class to assist in my cover-up. I crawled into the tunnel between the admin building and a dorm to run a wire to a bell transformer in the School journal office. We would ring the bell from there 5 minutes early - just enough so the Masters would think it was their watch or the bell system. The other students didn't question their watches; they just bolted out the door.
