John L. Tyrer Headmaster

I retired from Asheville School in 1992 and moved to Fort Myers, where I have been active in singing (Symphony Chorus and church choir), Community Concert Association, Edison-Ford Winter Estates, and other volunteer opportunities. Of them all, probably the most satisfying was my participation in ASSIST (American Secondary Schools for International Students and Teachers), on whose Board I served (ultimately as Chairman) and whose outreach allowed me to teach in the Czech Republic for eight summers.
