I know Jeana. We need to be strong for our fellow classmates. It looked like I was on here most of the day on Saturday, but I was really just listening to all the great music. I didn't realize how many words I knew to so many songs.(plus I really perked up on the house cleaning). So, even though I have a great time on this site and love the updates, I am not addicted either. I am committed to the site and have given the address to at least 3 fellow classmates this past weekend, so I am a supporter but I just don't have the same problem as so many seem to be having. We are blessed.

Yes, and hopefully they can learn how to beat their addiction through us.

It's wonderful to be perfect isn't it?

I too am addicted. Have laughed more than cried.
Now the best e-mail I received was from Mr Trabradt.
I thought I was going to have to go the principals office.
I put him as my least favorite teacher because of the black he wore on test day.
He wrote as follows:"From Mr. Ronald Trabandt
Subject Greetings

Hello Ms. Donna,

Many students remember those black clothes on test day. That all started a few years before you came through the U.S. History class in 1977-78. It was only by coincidence that black was worn the first time a test was given. There was no hidden meaning in it. However, students began spreading the story and occasionally I would wear them. Ninety percent of the time normal colored clothing was worn on exam days.

I hope you are doing well and my wishes for you are much happiness and success.

Ron Trabandt

See what I mean!!!!!!

I too am adicted!!! I have laughed more than I've cried.
I put in my profile that Mr Trabrandt was my least favorite teacher because of the black outfits on test day. The following was his response:

Hello everybody, my name is Terri Hughes, and I openly admit that I am addicted to the Paul G. Blazer Class of '79 Reunion Site. I am not good with computers or chatting, but I find myself on this site hours a day, looking for email alerts of new messages, and even having my son type my confession for me. (But that does not mean I do not realize my problem, and want help.) I too began with simply seeking the location and status of my classmates, and then it soon developed into the addiction I share with you today. I don't get to bed until late, I have the laptop with me in almost every room, and I make sure it has a full battery at almost all times. We must reach out and help our classmates in denial, and each other, with our new found addiction. I have even just subscribed to this thread to make sure I do not miss a beat. I do thank Buddy, Susan, and Jill for this great site, but curse you for the horrid addiction because I was living a normal life. Help me!
Again, I am Terri Hughes, and I am a PG Blazer High reunion Site Addict.

Your ability to be open has placed you in the thoughts and prayers of the rest of us that are also fighting this addiction. Your honesty should be an example for others that are in denial to follow.

Be aware this addiction will be intermittent through July and begin to slightly fade there after. You can take comfort in knowing that you are not alone. Your short term hope is for warmer weather that will allow you to get on your motorcycle and ride, ride, ride......

My name is Brian Busch and I an a P. G. Blazer H. S. reunion siteaholic.

Well, my addiction cost me real money today. I was hidden away in my office “working” (I get to work from home). Lately, the term “working” has become synonyms with browsing the reunion site to see what my classmates are up to. Because of the repairs/remodel going on right now, my wife would not leave me alone today. I’d get half way through a new profile and she’d come in with some trivial question like “Can I tear out the wall between kitchen and the family room and open it up?”, “Should we put granite in all the bathrooms while they are here?”, and “Can I go ahead and put in a pool and outdoor kitchen?”. I finally gtr so annoyed with her I had to go to my alternative work location – a little place call Brix Wine Cellars that has free WiFi. Well, they were having a wine tasting from a boutique winery from Napa. EXCELENT! So in addition to $300 in wine, I’m now in for an additional $x,000's in renovations just because I needed peace and quite to spend time on the P. G Blazer reunion site. I’m planning on taking up a collection at the reunion to help pay for all this, so please come prepared.

It looks like we need to take a page from the War on Drugs (and we know how well that's worked, don't we?). Instead of this whining about the effects on the "victims" (whom, admit it, NOBODY forced to take the first hit), we should direct a full-out interdiction on the enablers of this vile, addictive product.

Come back, Tricky Dick. We need you now more than ever!

It started with just 8 simple words left on my answering machine, 'Call me, it's Wilson, it's about the reunion'. I could hear the score from JAWS playing in the background.

Just when I thought it was safe to be on the internet.

Hi, I'm Missy Steele Jordan and I am addicted to the Paul G Blazer High School Class of 1979 website.

Ok I now have to face the facts.I was [still am] caught up in the ice storm.First went the cable [internet] then the power. When this has happened before I was happy to call in at work, keep the fireplace going to keep heat in the house, and sip Jim Beam. But not this time I left the house cold, went to work, and got stuck there for three 16 hour shifts. But at work I have power,Internet, and classmates.Life is good again.

I'm Brian, and I too am addicted to the Paul G. Blazer Class of 1979 site. Check in several times a day & evenings. I'm busted if they start checking internet usage at work as well.
I minimized the home page the other day & listened to the music. Had I caught a whiff of chlorine or cocoa butter I would have sworn I was back at Southside Pool.

Brian,
As you described above, this addiction will often give you those flashbacks. Most of the times these flashbacks are harmless. If at any time you find yourself injured due to these flashbacks I encourage for you to seek immediate medical attention. Thanks for sharing the above. Good luck and I hope to see you at the reunion.

I would encourage for you to set up a PayPal account and start seeking donations earlier. This is the 21st century and technology is the way to go to collect money. Just ask anyone running for a national political campaign. Of course, Susan Wilson, Jill Stevens and myself will opt out of providing donations since we are already feeding your addiction. Good luck.

Hi, my name is Larry Sennett and I was directed to this site by my Neurosurgeon after being diagnosed with tumors and other mental problems. He stated that since I had no brain and resembled the "Scarecrow" from The Wizard of Oz, I would have no problem communicating with all the other addicts on this website, with an IQ of 4. Thank you, I fit right in and have found myself a mentally challengless site. I too am an addict. I find myself drooling over Susan Wilson's High Beam Halogen headlights, and doubling over while reading Brian Busch's hallucinogenic stories. My Neurosurgeon says this type of therapy is good useless time well spent. I think it's great. I feel as if we are all Characters in One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest. Thanks for making my life simple. I gotta go change my bib.Shocked

Let me get this straight. I'm suppose to believe that I'm an addict, simply because things have changed a little since I found out about this site.

1) My husband, for some reason, has started doing an 'Archie Bunker' move by putting his fingers in the shape of a gun and pointing it at his temple. This done simply because I rattle on so much about people on this site. He has now decided to hang his head in defeat.

2) To ease my guilt about staying on the computer so much, I occasionally let my son play Asteroids and Space Invaders.

3) I, too, am worried that I am going to get caught by KDMC. I have been known to hop on and off throughout the day, 'just to see if someone may have added another picture, or a new person has joined'.

If any/all of these things are signs of being an addict, and I might add that I am a guest only, then, I, Cindy Click Rigsby must confess. I am a Paul G. Blazer High School class of '79 website addict.Embarassed

Hello, my name is Brian, and I’m a PBHS reunion site addict. I thought this addiction thing was expensive, but the actual addiction is not nearly as expensive as the therapy to deal with it. Several of us who are some of the more seriously addicted (especially to chat – Susan, Cabot, Jill – you know who you are) have decide to enter group theory together. It was difficult to find a central location – so we settled on Cozumel, MX. So I’m off tomorrow, and meeting this group on Friday. The treatment center – called Deep Blue – believes in team building – so they are putting us in support exercises where we spend hours underwater (apparently learning how to communicate on a human level again – without the aid of computers and chat facilities). Then each evening we are going to have to sit around, eating fajita’s, drinking margaritas/mohitos/cervesas, and discuss the days activities, what we learned, what we saw, and how we can do it better tomorrow. We try to keep you informed of how the theory is going, and if there are positive outcomes, maybe more can join our group next time.
