DON'T WAIT FOR JULY!
Posted Thursday, April 23, 2009 12:22 AM

Well, my addiction has finally physically manifested itself – and it’s great Yesterday I had the most wonderful 2 hour lunch with Patty Pennington you could imagine (I want her life). So now it’s not just a cyber thing – it’s entered the realm of IRL. I’m jealous of Patty. She knows what she wants do, and she isn’t afraid to do it. She had been to so many really cool places – and plans for a lot more fascinating travel. BTW, if any of you have a 35’ boat, she and her fiancée are in the market.

We talked about grade school basketball and cheerleading at Hager, old friends/fiends from HS, who has surprised us, and who turned our just as we expected, the people we were still missing from the site, and the excitement every time someone we really wanted to know about joined. I was one of the most enjoyable afternoons I’ve spend in a long time.

SO, the moral is – don’t wait for the reunion, especially those of us who have moved away from Ashland. Find an old classmate who lives close by – and let’s kick this thing off early. Since I travel so often with my job, I plan on looking people up as much as possible between now and July – so don’t be surprised to hear from me when I’m passing through.

Brian,

I totally agree. This site is awesome. I have been in touch with so many people and am so excited to see everyone. Found out Dessaree Taul lives here in Virgina Beach and we connected. It was so good to see her and it had actually been 30 years. We now try to get together a few times a month. You better be in touch if you pass through Virginia Beach.

Boy Brian I sure have you fooled! Anyway, I have to agree that catching up and talking about the website profiles was a lot of fun. Brian has to be one of the head grapes of the grapevine. He knows what's going on with everyone! Well except for the missing classmates. Speaking of which, I think I know where my cousin Rusty is. I had a dream the other morning. I saw Rusty sitting on a bench at a mall (must be the one in Ashland). We went into a Christmas store where he bought several items and explained to me that he and his wife were in business with another couple selling Christmas stuff. How bizarre! This website has invaded my dreamland.
