I married Dan in April 1980, worked for an attorney for a while. Jason was born in 1982 and I stayed home with him, then Stacey was born in 1983. For the next several years I stayed home and raised my kids. Then in 1989, Justin was born, I was able to stay home with him for most of the time until he started preschool.
Over the next several years I worked as a Church secretary and watched the kids grow up into responsible adults. Jason graduated from Kentucky Christian College in 2004 and moved to Cincinnati to teach seventh grade math for a couple of years. He then decided that teaching wasn’t for him and he decided to become an air traffic controller, after 5 months in Oklahoma City he began his training in Indianapolis.
During this time Stacey graduated KCC in 2006 and substituted for awhile. She became a Kindergarten teacher this fall here in Russell. Then, in 2007 Justin graduated from Russell High School and decided he wanted to go to NKU. After his freshman year at NKU, he decided that Louisville had more to offer in his area of study. So, off to Louisville he headed.
With the realization that my days being a full-time mom was coming to an end, I decided to go back to school and start my career. In the fall of 2005, I began my college career at ACTC. Yes, a 43 year old college student. LOL
Finally in the spring of 2008 I graduated with my Associates degree in Information Technology, with a specialty in Microsoft Networking and A+ certification. Then, (of course. . . .) the economy took a nose dive and now I'm an unemployed Soccer Mom (and empty-nester). I can’t wait to see what 2009 has to offer!

Well 2009 has started with an awesome miracle -- On May 15, 2009 a new phase of my life began, I became a grandmother to a beautiful baby girl. She was born almost a month early, but other than being a little small she is absolutely perfect. I was fortunate enough to spend a week with her and her parents right after she was born and found her to be a very good baby!! We don't get to see her very often, but I can't wait to watch her grown into a wonderful little lady.

Working, then getting married & having kids.

He was my date to the senior prom. My brother fixed us up on a blind date (for the senior prom!). I had never even seen his picture before the date. My brother and sister-in-law promised that he was a nice guy and he was really cute!
They must have been telling the truth, we were married less than a year later.
That was almost 30 years ago, boy time flies when your havin' fun.

Never really left

Port de Paix, Haiti - Mission trip in 2001 with Jason, Stacey, Dan and other high school kids from the area. Awesome experience!!
