After graduating from Liberty University in 1984 I moved to Northern Kentucky. My Mom and Dad have both gone to be with the Lord but they left me with three wonderful sisters. I don't know where I would be without them! My sister Joan moved back to Ashland a few years ago so I have a reason to visit Ashland again. I am also very blessed with a family of my own. I have been married for 31 years to my husband, James, and we have three wonderful children (Matt 29, Kevin 27, Eva 24). I've also been blessed to be able to teach elementary school for the past 35 years. Even though I have retired I spent 5 years teaching in Cincinnati, Ohio in various Charter Schools. I am now working as a preschool paraprofessional at Burlington Elementary in Burlington, Ky! Over the years I have taken great pride in knowing that I have had the opportunity to touch the lives of many children. I don’t take that for granted. God has been so good to me!

I loved high school. School has always been my happy place and that was true even then. Coach Marsh was my homeroom teacher. I was happy about that because he came from Coles Jr. High School the same year that I did. We were sat in abc order which placed me right behind Greg McCauley who became my lifelong friend. I got the locker that was high and his was low so he always had to get my books out for me. I was very involved with my youth group at Unity Baptist Church. I played guitar and sang with my best friend Susy Kamphaus. Larry Lewis used to drive me home from school everyday and I am lucky to be alive! :) I loved all of my high school friends and have so many wonderful memories of the time I spent there.

One of my favorite High School Memories was when the Prayer Club met in the center of the campus and I played my guitar as we all sang songs together. I also loved being Herbie Conley's aid my senior year. And I loved my art classes. :)

My favorite Christian singers were Evie, Keith Green, and Amy Grant.
I also loved John Denver, Barry Manilow, The Carpenters, and James Taylor.
