William J. Lefever, 66, of Mansfield, died Saturday, April 11, 2015, at Life Care Center in Medina. He was born in Ashland on February 5, 1949; the son of Jay Lefever and Marjorie (Raubenolt) Goon. William had been a resident of Ashland most of his life. He had been employed with the Hyco Corp. and later with Kelly's Deli for more than 15 years, where he had been manager and cook before retiring. He was a member of Christ United Methodist Church, had been a volunteer with the United Way in Mansfield for several years, and was an avid supporter of the SPCA. On May 25, 1968, William married Nancy Simpson, who preceded him in death in 2006. Survivors include his sons, Christopher Lefever of Mansfield and Patrick (Rebecca) Lefever of Butler; his two grandchildren; a brother, Douglas Lefever of Ruskin, Florida; and two sisters, Paula (David) Shears of Ruskin, Florida, and Nancy (Glynn) Dupre of Plant City, Florida. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by his half-brother, Tim Goon.
