Bevan was a good friend and teammate. I drove him to school every day especially senior year as we had free first periods. In college, we caught up when we were home and spent a couple of New Year's Eves with dates. He loved to be outdoors and did all kinds of things from farming to hiking and traveling in the hills. thanks to the Internet, I found out about his passing in Clovis, New Mexico just before his 60th birthday. We lost a good person and a loyal friend.

Bevan and I became good friends at Menlo College. We were both on the basketball team. Hah, Bevan was a starter and I was at the far end of the bench but it was fun to be on quite a good team. Bevan went on to Southern Oregon College. Around 1973 I was back in the Menlo Atherton area after six years in the USAF. Bevan showed up unannounced one night at midnight to reconnect. It was fun, he was wearing shoulder length hair and told me about his last few years that had been spent cruising around the USA with Ken Kesey, and his Merry Band of Pranksters on the bus named Further. Around 2:00am he left and I never heard from him again. RIP Bevan.
