Comments:

I have done so many things, both professionally and personally, since leaving school that I wouldn't know where to begin. It's been a fun ride most of the time, despite a frighteningly bad, but brief, marriage and a couple of debilitating automobile accidents. I've moved around (mostly in the Southeast), worked in journalism, retail, hospitality, telemarketing, publishing, and so many other things--hard to believe I seem to have settled (at least currently) into insurance. I've traveled over most of the East coast, never had much money, but I've managed to enjoy most of it (except recovering from the car accidents). I've been to Rainbow gatherings and space development conferences (I got to eat lunch with Buzz Aldrin, which has to be one of the really high points), though my preferred gathering is Science Fiction conventions.
I've never been good at keeping up with old friends, at least in part because I've moved so much (18 times since leaving home in 1987, and some of those places I lived for more than 3 years, many of them for over 1), and in part because, in case nobody noticed, I have always been (until the last fifteen years) agonizingly shy.
I've had, since 1986, the best friend anyone could hope to have, and he's been there for me through all the great and horrible events of my adult life. He even helped me break through the enormous, forbidding wall of being so dreadfully shy, so that now I'm only somewhat timid (hey, it's a huge improvement!).
The song I think of when I think about my life since high school is always that old Grateful Dead favorite, "What a Long, Strange Trip it's Been". And I suppose that really sums it all up.
