I always enjoy reading and talking about Oakland City, I hope others will help share their memories and thoughts.

We lived on Lorenzo Dr. near the top of the hill,some of the people that I remember are Jerry Ferrell,Susan Tanner,Lee Yeomans all lived on our street.

We lived on Lee Pl. which came into Lee St. right near the Nabisco plant, I looked at the pictures on here and surprisingly remembered quite a few of the people.
     Living on our street was Lester Dooley,David Gossett, and Wayne Hamb y.We had a very short bike ride over to the park where many baseball and football games were played.
      I remember David Sheppard on Oakland Dr,Gary Ashley,the Green Twins,Ferrell Dial, a boy named Lindon something,Bobby Cole,and Bobby Peck..
I sat down and listed  people in Oakland .City.   I have listed aboout 50 names,that I remember from my paper route,
The Peeks,Bryants,Drums,Baldwins,Bryants,the Reeses,Greens,Pecks,Howards,Irwins,Willis,and a lot that I don't recall
