Penelope Smith Tison (Coppedge)

Suzie was my best friend for years at Northside. I use to spend the night with her on Argonne quite often and loved her family. She has a daughter living in Charleston with a grand-daughter my grand-son South's age. Her name is Catherine and she is 9 years old. I am looking forward to meeting the daughter and grandchild soon. Suzie was a beauty to say the least. She was fun and I had many happy times with her. I even visited her grandparents in Valdosta, Georgia! We climbed over the fence at Valdosta State College and went skinny dipping. We also went swimming in a very cold lake, especially toward the bottom. We washed our hair in that lake and it was very shiny. Suzie moved to August, Georgia or Albany, Georgia. I think she ran for Miss Augusta and won, or was runner up. She reminded me of Lee Remick the beautiful movie star, who was in "The Days Of Wine and Roses". I am quite sure she is at peace now with our lord and smiling down at us.

I am sad she is gone, but definitely not forgotten.
