I've really enjoyed the Profiles that go beyond the "grave stone" basics, and describe in detail the writers' experiences in life, what is important, the joys and proud moments they have experienced.

I encourage everyone who has not done so to spend an evening writing up a summary of what you feel are the significant events of your life.  This will add to the experience of our Reunion & allow each of us to share more of the life you've lived.

I hope everyone that attended our 50th reunion will join me and also write a message to the organizing committee and the event hosts to give them a big THANK YOU for all of the work they did and how great it all was.  Everything ran so well and it was obvious that a lot of time and thought and work went into the planning.  The wonderful spread at Marc's home, the tiger at the luncheon, the video on Saturday night...thank you for everything.  Those of us that were at the hotel had our own mini-get togethers each morning at breakfast...maybe for our 55th we should all go to a North Georgia resort so we have more time together away from the hussle of the city...just a thought.  Everyone be safe and well and keep the website going.

 I, too, would like to thank all those who worked on the reunion.  How generous of Marc and DeeDee to open their beautiful home to us.  It was a terrific way to begin the weekend!  The idea of the trivia quiz was a riot at the luncheon.  We had something to chat about other than answering, "Where do you live?"  The detail work throughout the events was also impressive--the tiger, the displays from the annuals, the tribute to those who have passed.  But most of all, I really appreciate what an outstanding group of adults we have become.  I feel a sense of pride for just having known all of you.  Thanks for a great weekend.

Thanks to the fantastic committee, led by Mother Libba, who did the creative and literal heavy lifting to provide a weekend of splendid fellowship.

Marc and Deedee's gracious hospitality, Nancy's securing of her condo's lovely and well-located meeting room, and Merrill's purple & white nostalga-bedecked Temple, all enhanced with tasty meals, gave us a weekend to remember. 

On Saturday night, we'd departed, and our "carpool" was already loaded in the car, when I realized I'd forgotten to collect two easels. When we returned to pick them up, there were Marc and Deedee, still dancing the night away, a great last image for the night.

Yes, our class is getting older, but also better.

I got a couple of notes (snailmail) off to people sending Doug's and my thanks for a wonderful reunion weekend.  It is amazing the time and effort spent by our "amazing" classmates to put together such a phenomenal weekend.  All did a wonderful job and should be so very proud of their efforts!!  Emily managed to capture everyone who attended events!! I have shared our website with a couple of friends here in Louisville who are on planning committees for their highschool reunion(s) coming up this next year.  They were highly motivated to replicate/duplicate!!  Doug (who has shown pics of Marc's vintage cars to most Louisvillians) and I send our best to all the committee and to everyone who attended....and those who were not able to attend!

Wanted to let fellow classmate that Doug Johnston & his son Branan are working for my Agency ( MIlton Agency) for the past year. They handle Allstate's Work Place Benefits, such as group cancer, etc. Doug had worked in my Commercial Department & Mortgage Department several years ago. Last but not least I just celebrated my 50 yr with Allstate. It is great to work with a fellow classmate

Buddy, good to hear you are still working and that my old friend Doug is working with you. Doug was one of my room mates at UGA years ago. We had even gone to the 1st Nascar race at Charlotte Motor Speedway way back when 1959 or 60 I believe. We used to joke around that Doug wanted to own a Nascar team and I would be his driver.

Dear All,

I won't win the contest of being married the longest.

But, maybe I will win the contest of having the youngest children -- my husband and I adopted two children -- one in our late 40's and the second in our early 50's.  Alex was adopted as a baby in 1990 and born in Peru (yes, I was in Peru four months for the judicial process).  Carmen was adopted as a toddler in 1996 and born in Bolivia (enjoyed living in Bolivia a month during the proceedings).  So, maybe having to have the energy to be a mother at this age has kept me young.  When I hear about the health problems of so many classmates, I am extremely grateful for my good health.  Yoga helps physically, mentally and spiritually.

My husband and I have lived in Southern California for the last 30 years -- in the Los Angeles area, South Pasadena, to be exact, right near the start of the Rose Parade festival in Pasadena.

Los Angeles is agog that a local girl will now marry into the British Royal family.  (My claim to fame on that:  I know the neighborhood where Meghan Markle's mother, Doria Raglund, lives -- very nice!)  My daughter and I plan to wear hats, and eat scones, and stay up all night watching the festivities.  What's Not to Like!

I wish you and your families all well -- and the best of health so we can enjoy life as much as we are able -- as long as we are able.

 I keep in touch with Lucia Blackwelder.  She sends me a photo Christmas card every year with her latest family reunion, wedding or grandchild.  Have kept them all.  What a great tradition!
