I am deeply saddened to learn of Sandy's death. I ran into Sandy in Long Beach, California while he & I were in the Navy. Sandy, but the way, was on the USS Maddox when she was involved in the Gulf of Tonkin incident that ramped up the Vietnam War.
Sandy was a wonderful person, everyone's friend, who will be sorely missed.
I, too, met Sandy on the West Coast - in a bar in Tijuana, Mexico in the mid-1960's when we were both in the Navy. Small world, huh? I THANK YOU for your dedicated service to our country as a U.S. Navy veteran. R.I.P. John Parmele, U.S. Navy (Retired).
