It is hard not to remember "shane" from our days at Northside. She was definetly a "presence" wherever she went!
We stayed friends throughout her life, first in NYC where I was with the bank and she was working as a theatrical agent. I have never forgotten one of her clients - Brian Dennehy- walking her sofa down the stairs of her apartment on his back when she moved in NYC. Some how I ended up with his jacket and was able to return it to him seven years later when I moved to LA. Judy had moved to LA a few years before me and it was nice getting to be friends again.
Judy was a very successfull agent with many very famous clients. When she first went to LA, she opened her own agency and did very well. She then joined Creative Artists as one of the founders and was with them until she died. She was always a perpetual motion machine and I had to make apointments in advance for us to get together. Through her, I met a lot of people that helped me when I took over the account with SAG. Judy was always available to help me deal with some of the "celebrities" in dealing with SAG's portfolio.
Unfortunately, her 40 years of smoking caught up with her and the resultant lung cancer took her life very quickly. I have and will always miss Judy. She still owes me for that bottle of scotch that slipped right through her bra when we walked into Robinson's Tropical Gardens for one of our many high school get togethers!!
She is one person that will be missed and the reunion will be 'quieter" for her not being there!
Was so happy to hear of Judy's successful life. So sad to hear, she died so young. Some people seem to be able to smoke and not contact that dreadful cancer, but it gets some of the best.
