Karen L Colbert-Eaton, 55, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday morning, June 30, 2015.

She was born on December 24, 1959, in Auburn, the daughter of Terry & Trudy Colbert. Karen graduated from Auburn High School and attended Cayuga Community College and nursing school. Karen was employed as an RN by the NYS Department of Corrections. She was a passionate dog lover, having two Dachshunds, as well as breeding, showing and raising many Afghan hounds over the years. Karen's greatest love was her family! She had a huge heart and was always eager to help anyone in need.

In addition to her parents, she is survived by her daughter Mackenzie Eaton; son Zachary Eaton; three siblings, brothers Peter Colbert, David (Cheryl) Colbert; sister Patricia (David) Erickson; as well as several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and many dear friends.

Friends are invited to join the family for a service to be conducted by the Rev. Tim Niven, Tuesday at 11:00 am in the Cheche Funeral Home Inc. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery. Calling hours will be held from 3-7 p.m. Monday, July 6, 2015 in the funeral home, 1778 Clark St. Rd., Auburn.
