AUBURN — Christine Marie Mitchell, 57, of Cottage Street, Auburn, passed Monday, Oct. 24, 2016.

Christine was born in Auburn on July 6, 1959. Christine was a loving and caring person who also revealed her great sense of humor at special occasions with the people who she enjoyed to be around the most; her family. She also enjoyed the simple things that life offered, such as warm sunny weather, swimming, shopping, and classic television shows. Moreover, Christine’s family was what was most important to her wonderful soul. Her life will firmly be celebrated along with her little brother, Timmy’s.

Christine is survived by her parents, William and Patricia Van Ostrand Mitchell; her son, Keith Mitchell; her siblings, Colleen Johnson, Corene Wood, William Mitchell Jr., and Melissa Mitchell; her nieces and nephews, Erik, Kyle, Kelly, Matthew, and Luke Johnson, Cody and Beth Wood, and Shane and Alex Mitchell; her aunts, Mr. and Mrs. John Fauss (Cathy) and Mr. and Mrs. Paul Bahra (Tammy); her uncle, Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Van Ostrand.

Christine was predeceased by her loving baby brother, Timothy Mitchell in 2011. Christine and Timmy were extremely close and were always willing to help each other. She was also predeceased by her grandparents, John and Rose Van Ostrand Tabor, Clarence Van Ostrand, and Leona and Frank Mulvey.

Calling hours will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 28 with a service to immediately follow at 7 p.m. at White Chapel Funeral Home Inc., 197 South St., Auburn.
