STEPHENS CITY, Va. | Richard William Copley, 59, of Stephens City, Va., passed away on Friday, Feb. 15, 2013, at Winchester Medical Center. Ric was born on Dec. 5, 1953 in Auburn, the son of the late William Hayden Copley and Maryanne Curtin Copley. He retired in 2010 from General Motors after 38 years of service. He was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church. He married Debra Jean Clark at Sacred Heart Catholic Church on Oct. 20, 1979 in Winchester, Va. Along with his wife and mother, Ric is survived by two daughters, Kelly Marie Copley and Alexis Michelle Copley, both of Stephens City, and a sister, Lorrie Shuman, of Winchester, Va. A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 20, 2013 at Jones Funeral Home in Winchester, with the Rev. Michael Dobbins officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to service. Burial will be at Mt. Hebron Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Richard Cummings, Donald Whitacre, Ken Collinson, Paul Walker, Patrick Shuman and Jay Myrick, II. Honorary pallbearers will be Paul Clark, Sr., Paul Clark, Jr., and Jay Myrick, Sr. Memorial contributions may be made to the Stephens City Volunteer Fire and Rescue, P.O.
