Evangelist Joann J. Davis Born Aug. 3, 1954 in Tacoma, WA, went home to be with the Lord on Nov. 1, 2012. She was the oldest of two children by William L. and Marie A. Davis, who both have preceded her in death. Evangelist Davis was raised in Auburn, WA, and attended Auburn High School. In 1983, Evangelist Davis moved with her family to Tacoma, WA. She dedicated 26 years to the state, serving in the Department of Licensing, starting in 1989. In 2006 she graduated Summa Cum Laude from Saint Martin's University. On January 1, 1985 Evangelist Davis reclaimed her life to the Lord. She attended God's Pentecostal Church and was an active member. By the leading of the Holy Spirit, Evangelist Davis moved her membership to Roosevelt Heights COGIC in 2000, where she was active in many ministries. She will be remembered by her love of Christ, her dedication to her family, her church, and her desire to help those in need. Evangelist Davis is survived by her daughter Alisha Gregory-Davis, brother Tommy Lee Davis (Diane), aunt Ruby Luckett and a host of extended family and friends. Viewing will be 12-9pm Friday, Nov. 16, 2012 at Mountain View Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Sat. Nov. 17, 2012, 11am, at Roosevelt Heights COGIC, 4819 S. 12th Street, Tacoma, WA 98405.
