Darla Carter Morrow

After high school I went to PCC for a couple of years- getting prereqs for the nursing program- at the same time working at Winter Haven Hospital. I never really got that serious about college- (except for the parties) and eventually dropped out, settling for an LPN career instead. After a few more years at the hospital I decided to take the plunge and in 1999 went back to school and completed the RN program. Here I am 20 years later - still at Winter Haven Hospital, working on the pediatric/adult medical unit. I met my husband while working at the hospital ( no he wasn't a patient but was employed there also) and we were married in 1996. We had our only child, Derek, in 2001 after years of trying and lots of prayers. We would love to add to our family but I guess that wasn't in God's plan for us --- so we are just spoiling the crap out of this one!!! He is now in 1st grade at Berkley Charter School.
