Was a hippie during college (I guess t"The Ballad of Johnny Straight" came true for a while.) Dropped out, worked a variety of jobs, got married, went back to school a bit, got jobs in software through 9/11 when the software industry in Austin went south. (Moved from Atlanta to Austin in 1991, had our kids by then.) After a year, got a job in IT. Was formally a youth pastor for 15+ years, informally since then. We now attend a very small, affirming church. I play bass and am starting to work with youth within a church setting again. I've performed quite a few weddings, from formal to popup in a park to back yards, including barefoot and in tie-dye at the bride's request. I still read a lot, and have written numerous tech articles and published several books (on software years ago, more recently YA fantasy and childrens short stories).

Sharon is retired from a varied career that started in XRay and ended in a pregnancy resource center. She still does doula work, mainly for friends, family, and women with no support or money to pay for a doula.
