Larry Gene Liberty

Larry Gene Liberty was born in San Antonio, Texas on August 18, 1957 to Chloe Lydia Baker Liberty and Paul Gerhard Liberty Jr. Larry gained his wings and went home to be with our Lord in Heaven on September 21, 2021.

Larry graduated from Reagan High School in Austin, Texas in May 1975 and later graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Texas State University (formally known as Southwest Texas State University) in San Marcos, Texas in 1980.

Larry married Lisa Ann Barkelew in Austin, Texas on April 26, 1997. Together they had two children Larisa Ashley Liberty and Logan Gerhard Liberty.

He was employed as a Senior Software Engineer at the University of Texas at Austin for 35 years at the time of his passing. Larry's hobbies included bowling and woodworking. He also enjoyed history and discussing politics.

Larry was preceded in death by his brother Gary Lee Liberty. He is survived by his brother Philip Glenn Liberty (Sarah) and their two children Ryan Doyle Liberty (Meagan) and Trevin Lee Liberty.

Larry was a devoted husband, father and friend and he will be deeply missed.
