Wendy was a very sweet friend. I was told she passed away during or after delivering her baby.

Wendy and I were neighbor's and friends growing up. Wendy died during child birth, in which she had a son that her mother raised. Wendy was a sweet girl with a heart of gold and she loved to play with this white girl's hair. You will always be loved and missed "MISS Wendy".

Wendy and I were best friends in high school. She says she was my bodyguard because she thought I was too little to defend myself. I never had to worry about anyone bothering me because she would defend me, especially since she stood taller and had heavy hands whenever she would be playing and would hit you on the back. She didn't realize how heavy handed she was. She said I couldn't handle any hard licks and therefore felt she had to take up for me. I had no worries while Wendy was around. I was blessed to attend her homegoing and was very sadden of her passing. She will definitely be missed at the class reunion but never forgotten.

On the day of her homegoing I was able to go to the church and say my goodbyes before I went to work. Before the people even got there. This was special to me because I could not get off work to attend the service. I was working for the Department of Corrections at the time. I came in uniform.

Wendy was a wonderful woman. She would have been a great mom. I like to imagine that she's watching us and enjoying every minute of it (or thinking of when she'd give us a piece of her mind.)
