Laurie and I started school together at Charles Bursch Elementary in Kindergarden.  We remained friends all through school and had planned at one point to go skydiving together.  I enjoyed many visits to her house and enjoyed her Mom and Dad and older sister Carol.  We stayed in touch after high school for many years and only lost touch when I moved to Wyoming.  She was a terrific friend and I still miss her to this day.  Rest in peace my wonderful friend,

Laurie and I became friends in high school.  After high school I lost touch with her until I went to a travel agency to book a trip. It was her travel agency. We rekindled our friendship.  My husband and I had so much fun on the boat cruise that she and others planned to celebrate our 50th birthdays. How cool was that. She was such a sweetheart and such a hard worker.   Even though she was in pain with her cancer she kept on working until her body wouldn't let her anymore. No, stop, and give up were not words in her vocabulary. I miss her. I miss her smile. I love you Laurie

I didn't know Laurie well in high school, but every encounter was pleasant, and I liked seeing her and her lovely smile in the hallways very much.  Like you, Tanyss, I called a travel agency to book a trip, not knowing she owned the agency, and it was such a nice surprise when I went in and saw her again.  Laurie booked a wonderful vacation trip for our family.  Every detail was perfect.  Her care for her clients was evident at every step, from the first tentative questions until the seat assignments had been made.  I'm so sorry to learn of her passing - the world could use many more people as enjoyable to know and work with.
