Buddy was a good guy. We went through school together. He was a great trombone player and became leader to marching band from BPHS. His blonde hair matched his kind personality.....I remember the day I heard that he had died in a motorcycle accident in the San Gabriel mountains shortly after we graduated. Gone way too soon.
Buddy was a good guy and played GUARD on the Undefeated, untied and barely scored upon '61 Braves "B" Football team. He was also a class Gynmast. A good guy yes, but I remember him as a team mate at a time we were all doing our best. See you later when we get together again. Say Hello to Dave Martinez. Why don't you two drop by in May just to have a look around.
I knew Bud since Junior High, when I join the city orchestra. He would always say Hi and ask me how I was when he saw me, that would make my day bright. After graduation I was working for the Ford dealership in San Gabriel. The year was 1973, I ran in to Bud, where he had been called into one of the business around there to fix something (I don't remember what he told me). He saw me first and came up to me said "Hello", then we talk about we had done since graduation. I am really sorry to see he has passed.
Bud and I began our friendship in fifth grade. I must confess I had a big "crush" on him. He was always very kind to everyone and a quiet guy. He did an outstanding job as Drum Major of our band. Last time I saw him was at the 10 year class reunion. We danced and had a great time talking about what we had been up too. I remember thinking he seemed kinda sad but he never said why. Was very sad he died way to young. I know he has children and I hope they have great memories of him.
also saw him at the reunion,he was teasing me a lot,i kept telling him he had me mixed up with the peggy a year younger than...we had a good time laughing about it...rest easy, friend
