Ross Heaps and I were very good friends all through high school. He often asked me to dance at sock hops. I was only 5'2" and he was well over 6' tall. With no shoes to add some height for me, the disparity was pretty obvious. We had a good time anyway, and we learned to dance pretty well together. He was a kind, warm, loving person, modest, and always did his best at anything he attempted. I'm so sorry he did not live a very long life.
