In Memory

Carla Snyder

Thanks to Linda Nash Marquis for the following message and information on the loss of our classmate, Carla Snyder:

I added Carla Snyder to our class list today.  She never made it to graduation.  Carla died of a brain tumor in her sophomore year.  Carla was a very sweet, very intelligent friend.  I remember when she became ill and could no longer attend school.  Denise Goessling Ambrose and myself visited her at Pasadena Memorial Hospital after one of her many surgeries.  She was so sick and weak.  I will never forget that day.  She was happy to see us and as was her way, very sweet.  It was hard to see her suffering so much.  She died shortly after that.  She was a straight A student and would of been very successful in life had she been given that chance.

I remember how you, Ron Gorsuch, Kathy Tinker and I would hang out before school started in the morning. You were a sweet and lovely girl. I have never forgotten you.

Carla, you were wrong about me - you told me so many times I would wind up on Broadway as a big star!  Bless you, sweet friend, for all the joy you gave, in your much-too-short time here with us.
